The ‘Quran Reading’ category carries the “Read” part of the article as read in the ‘Lessons & Offerings’ category.
“The example of him (a believer) who recites the Qur’an is like that of a citron which tastes good and smells good. And he (a believer) who does not recite the Qur’an is like a date which is good in taste but has no smell. And the example of a dissolute wicked person who recites the Qur’an is like the Raihana (sweet basil) which smells good but tastes bitter. And the example of a dissolute wicked person who does not recite the Qur’an is like the colocynth which tastes bitter and has no smell.”
Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari: Bukhari & Muslim
The above Prophetic Tradition is very clear in its meanings and sense. Before proceeding further let’s read another Prophetic Tradition;
“The Qur’aan will meet its companion on the Day of Resurrection when his grave is opened for him, in the form of a pale man. It will say to him, ‘Do you recognize me?’ He will say: ‘I do not recognize you.’ It will say: ‘I am your companion the Qur’aan, who kept you thirsty on hot days and kept you awake at night. Every merchant benefits from his business and today you will benefit from your good deeds.’ He will be given dominion in his right hand and eternity in his left, and there will be placed on his head a crown of dignity, and his parents will be clothed with priceless garments the like of which have never been seen in this world. They will say: ‘Why have we been clothed with this?’ It will be said: ‘Because your son used to recite Qur’aan.’ Then it will be said to him: ‘Recite and ascend in the degrees of Paradise,’ and he will continue to ascend so long as he recites, either at a fast pace or a slow pace.”
Narrated Buraydah: Ahmed & Ibn Majah
With all the description made here and the light and guidance gained from the Quran and Sunnah and the methodology of the pious predecessors we have formulated a three level Quran reading course. In each of the levels the student would be given the rules of reading and reciting the Quran as well as any important and required information necessary for the reader of the Quran.
In addition to that the students would be taught the fundamentals of Islam; comprising of routine supplications; prayer methods; and other general Islamic etiquettes and morals. Please click on the category you wish to know about and get enrolled in.
